It took me 32 years to find my true love.... After trying my hand at various artistic mediums (painting, pottery, stained glass) over the years, I discovered that I feel at home with jewelry. I grew up in Austin and have always been inspired by the artistic and creative community found in this city. My mother, Barbara, is herself an artist and I feel lucky to have inherited her passion for creating. Also, my mother is an avid collector of jewelry and I spent many hours as a child playing with her adornments and then later as a teen and adult, raiding her collection. What I especially enjoy about fashion and jewelry at this point in time is that anything goes. Everything is in style right now, whether it be super chunky, fine and delicate, modern and retro, or vintage and old fahioned. Everyone's personal style is "in style" and that's how it should be. I try to make pieces that embrace this idea. My goal is to create pieces that are as timeless and precious to others as the necklaces I inherited from my grandmother, Beulah.
